Refocussing Faithfulness
Refocussing Faithfulness are an organisation that aim to educate, spark conversation and re-examine the traditionally held belief that being a Christian and being queer can’t co-exist. For those within the Church who identify as both Christian and queer, this has resulted in heartache and, at times, harm. Refocusing Faithfulness is a six week, Bible-based course that presents a theology in favour of LGBTQ+ individuals and relationships and is open to those both within and outside the LGBTQ+ community.
The brief was to create a course book to provide extra context, notes, and space for personal reflection which would accompany a 6 week course.
I used blurred images in greyscale to remove recognition of sexuality and gender; to focus on the committed, loving relationships that the Bible sets out. These complimented the strong brand colours which mark the journey through each week of the course.
